Artificial Intelligence in Aximmetry
Smarter tools for every stage of virtual production
Aximmetry is one of the first to bring AI-assisted control into virtual production, giving operators smarter tools that reduce setup friction, improve consistency, and support decision making during the moments that matter most. Customers are free to choose the way they would like to utilize AI tools in Aximmetry.

Aximmetry AI Assistant and MCP Server
Chat, script, and control — all in one connected workflow
One option is the embedded Aximmetry AI Assistant, which provides a built-in chat interface. Within this, production teams can choose their preferred AI model. An API key from the provider is required to enable this workflow.
Your AI, your interface, now driving Aximmetry
Aximmetry also offers MCP support. This integration lets production teams bring their preferred AI agent (Claude, Cursor, etc.) and use it to control Aximmetry directly, so teams can keep working in the AI interface they already know instead of learning a new one.
Together, these tools assist production teams to:
Build virtual productions from scratch
Go from a blank project to a working setup faster, with AI guiding the structure.
Set up inputs, outputs and control devices in Aximmetry
Cameras, I/O boards, camera tracking, etc. — reduce manual configuration time on complex hardware chains.
Locate UI elements
Get guided help finding and using the right controls, even in unfamiliar or complex scenes.
Adjust parameters and set up shows
Fine tune settings quickly and consistently across rehearsals and live shows.
Engineer Flow Graph scripts
Accelerate scripting logic and reduce errors in node-based workflows.
Troubleshoot existing setups, compounds, scripts, and pin values
Diagnose issues faster and get back to production sooner.
For studio technicians, this means a connected AI agent that helps manage complex shows.
For technical directors and production leaders, it means more repeatable workflows and faster access to system knowledge during time-critical production scenarios.
AI Compounds
Since Aximmetry version 2026.2.0, the software includes AI Compounds: native building blocks for executing specific AI based tasks directly within the Flow Graph. No extra software and no tool switching are needed. Just drag in an AI building block and go. Because AI Compounds live inside the same Flow Graph as the rest of the show, they stay fully visible, editable, and reusable across productions.
With AI Compounds in Aximmetry, you can:
- Create graphics on the fly: generate backgrounds, lower thirds, and on-screen visuals from a simple text description, ideal for fast turnaround broadcasts.
- Edit and refine visuals instantly: touch up or transform existing images with quick instructions, no design software required.
- Bring in AI video: produce short video clips, B roll, or animated elements straight from a text prompt, with green screen ready output available.
- Add a smart assistant to your scenes: power on air Q&A, automatic captions, or data driven graphics (like a live weather update) using conversational AI.
It's all built into Aximmetry's familiar node-based workflow, so creative teams can experiment, iterate, and produce eye catching content faster than ever, keeping productions fresh without slowing down the show.
Built in Safeguards
At Aximmetry, AI is designed to amplify human creativity, not replace it, accelerating workflows and unlocking new creative possibilities so productions come together faster and with greater polish. It acts as a structured assistant operating within defined constraints, while operators stay in control of every production decision, and the final creative vision always remains firmly in their hands.
Built for Next Generation Production
Aximmetry's support for MCP and its embedded AI Assistant builds on the software's established track record of openness and interoperability, including native support for NRCS via MOS protocol, SMPTE ST 2110 IP video workflows, compatibility with Gaussian Splat rendering, and a broad range of input and output devices.
Together, the native AI Assistant, MCP integration and AI Compounds position Aximmetry for AI-augmented production environments that remain structured, auditable, and operator-led.
